New record in the price of gold, increased by 6 thousand 905 rupees

The country's gold market has once again witnessed a major upswing. Breaking all previous records, the price of 22 carat gold has been set at Tk 2 lakh 9 thousand 100. Earlier this rate was 2 lakh 2 thousand 195 taka. As a result, the price has increased by 6 thousand 905 rupees, which is unprecedented in the country's gold market.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) informed this information through a circular on Wednesday (October 8). According to the company, the new price will be effective from Thursday (October 9).

According to Bajus, although there is little variation in the price of pure gold or acidic gold in the international market, the price has been adjusted considering the demand, production cost and economic reality in the local market.

New Gold Price (per weight):

22 carat: Rs 2,09,100

21 carat: Rs 1,99,004

18 carat: Rs 1,71,430

Traditional method: 1,43,472 Tk

New Silver Price:
22 carat silver is priced at Tk 4,980, which was Tk 4,658 earlier. In other words, the amount has increased by 322 taka.

Other Carat Prices of Silver (per weight):

21 carat: Rs 4,445

18 carat: Rs 3,805

Traditional method: Rs 2,858

According to market analysts, fluctuations in the price of gold in the international market and devaluation of the rupee against the dollar are among the reasons for the rise in prices. Apart from this, political unrest and inflationary pressure are also affecting the price increase.
