The Department of Primary Education has announced the new timetable for the government primary schools in the country during the upcoming fasting month.
According to the new schedule announced on Thursday, primary schools will be open from Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 3.30 pm during the month of Ramadan.
And this order will apply to all types of government primary schools in the country (including Dhaka city).
The Department of Primary Education also said that during school hours, the head teacher should organize the routine of class activities with a 15-minute break for Zohar prayer.
Fasting may start in Bangladesh from March 12 subject to sighting of the moon.
