No confidence of 9 UP members against Tangail Chairman All Bengal

Dainya Union Parishad Chairman Afzal Hossain of Tangail Sadar Upazila has submitted a letter of no-confidence against women panel chairman and 9 members. On Sunday (August 18) at noon, they submitted a letter of no confidence to the Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).

In the written no-confidence motion, UP members accused the chairman of corruption, abuse of power, arbitrariness, irregularities and misappropriation of money.

Meanwhile, Dainya UP chairman claimed that all the allegations against him are false and fabricated. Afzal Hossain.

In the written letter of no confidence, embezzlement of tax and trade license sales money without depositing it in the bank account of the Parishad, not paying regular remuneration to UP members, keeping secret the amount of money collected and how much money is spent annually, 1 percent of the development assistance fund allocated in favor of the Union Parishad, TR, Kabikha and all sectors. In the general meeting of the finance council, various charges have been brought including misappropriation of money by accepting the project through UP member under his own authority and distribution of money arbitrarily by keeping a large part of VGD, VGF, elderly allowance, widow's allowance without following the allocation based on the population of the ward.

Tangail Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hasan-bin-Muhammad Ali said that he received the written no-confidence motion of 9 UP members against Dainya UP Chairman. The letter of no confidence will be immediately forwarded to the higher authorities for taking necessary action.
