Noakhali drowned in continuous rain, educational institutions closed

Most areas of Noakhali are submerged in water due to continuous rain. Life has stopped. Due to inundation caused by incessant rains, all educational institutions in the district have been declared closed until further notice.

On Wednesday (August 21), it was seen that most of the roads in the district city were submerged in water. Water has also entered houses. Most of the shops are closed due to flooding.

Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman said, 'Many areas of Noakhali have been submerged due to continuous rain. In such a situation, all the educational institutions of the district have been declared closed till further orders. Besides, dry food and cash have been allocated for the water stranded people. All Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) have been asked to stand by the people of their respective areas. In the meantime, the Ministry of Disaster and Relief has been informed about the whole matter.'

Monir Ahmed, a resident of the housing area, said, 'Most of the roads have been submerged in water due to continuous rain. This crisis has arisen because the municipal authorities did not clean the drains and drains on time.

Anisur Rahman of Lakshminarayanpur village said, 'It seems that the water will enter inside the house. As soon as you leave the house, you are knee-deep in water. This water has to go to the office.'

Akmal Shubo, a resident of Harinarayanpur, said, 'The water drains have been occupied by the powerful. If they are recovered and cleaned, most of the water will recede. Besides, many people have left the soil and made it like a dam, they will also have to be cut.'

Ziaur Rahman of Madhusudanpur village said, 'The garbage accumulated in the drains around the house is spreading with the rain water. There is a risk of spreading pathogens.'

Day laborer. Helal said, 'Din ani din khai. Work stopped due to heavy rain. Water and water all over the city. There is a food shortage. I have not yet received any support from the government.'
