Nurul Haque Noor, seriously injured in the collision

Nurul Haque Noor, president of the Public Rights Council, was injured in a clash with police in front of the Jatiya Party (Japa) office. Noor was taken to the hospital in a bloody condition.

The incident took place on Friday (August 27th) at around 8.30 pm when the leaders of the Public Rights Council gathered in front of the Japa office. Earlier in the evening, a clash took place in front of the Japa office.

Apart from Nurul Haque Noor, the injured are general secretary of the People's Rights Council. Rashed, 42, member Hasan Tarek, 28, Dhaka North Branch General Secretary Farzana Kibria, 5, Narayanganj District Member Secretary Mehbuba Islam (3) and police inspector Anisur Rahman (42).

Imran of the People's Rights Council, who was taken to the hospital, said that the Jatiya Party leaders threw brick jute on us while we took the procession. At that time the clash between the two parties took place. Later, four activists of our People's Rights Council were brought to the hospital with injuries. Currently they are receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical.

In -charge inspector of police camp at Damek Hospital. Farooq said four people and one police inspector of the People's Rights Council and a police inspector were brought to the hospital from Vijayanagar area. They are undergoing treatment in the emergency department.
