Papon has resigned from the post of BCB president

After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, one of the two names that are being mentioned the most in the sports arena is BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon. The sports arena has become vocal in demanding his resignation. Almost every day there are marches-meetings in Mirpur demanding his resignation. Even Asif Mahmood Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor-in-Charge of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, urged the ICC to take swift action to comply with the law. But finally Papon resigned from the post of BCB president.

Since 2009, he has been the chairman continuously. This former member of parliament was elected for four terms. But today is the end of his journey.

The meetings of the Bangladesh Cricket Board are usually held at the BCB's own office at the Mirpur Sher-e Bangla Stadium.
