Prime Minister arrived in New Delhi


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India.

The special flight of Bangladesh Biman carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at 11:51 am Delhi time, informed the Prime Minister's Press Wing.

The flight took off from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:15 am Bangladesh time on Saturday (June 8).

Tomorrow, Sunday (June 9) at 7:20 PM, the Prime Minister will be present at Narendra Modi's Abhishek ceremony.

After attending the event, a private meeting is scheduled to be held between the Prime Ministers of the two countries. After that, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the dinner hosted by the Indian President.

Besides, he will perform various official duties and participate in state programs during the visit.

The Prime Minister will leave for Dhaka from New Delhi's Palam Airport on Monday (June 10) evening.

Narendra Modi will take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third term on Sunday. He is the second Indian after Congress leader Jawaharlal Nehru to become the country's prime minister for the third consecutive term.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Narendra Modi on telephone last Wednesday (June 5) after becoming the Prime Minister. During the conversation, Modi invited Bangabandhu's daughter to attend the swearing-in ceremony. The Prime Minister accepted his invitation.
