Rabi's class-examination will continue even in intense heat

Several universities of the country have announced to take classes online due to intense heat. However, it is known that Rajshahi University (Rabi) class-examination will continue as usual.

This decision was taken in an emergency meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar on Sunday (April 21) afternoon.

University Public Relations Office Administrator Professor Pranab Kumar Pandey confirmed this information. He said, considering the heat wave across the country, the Ministry of Education has extended school and college holidays. Considering the heat wave in Rajshahi as well, today we sit in the discussion.

He also said that the temperature in Rajshahi is still somewhat tolerable. It was decided in the meeting that the summer vacation of the university will start from May 3. However, only classes will be closed on May 2 but the exams for the departments will be held on time.

Professor Pandey said that maximum efforts will be made by the university administration to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the campus. However, a department may decide on online classes.
