Rangpur was arrested for murdering the housewife without getting dowry money

A housewife named Rezwana Dil Afroz, 22, has been accused of being killed in the fire without receiving dowry money in Rangpur. The deceased's father, Rezaul Karim, filed a murder case against five people.

The housewife died while undergoing treatment at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka on Friday (June 5th).

The family claimed that Rezwana Dil Afroz, daughter of Rezaul Karim, was married to Delwar Hossain, son of Delwar Hossain under Mahiganj police station about 4 years ago. At the time of marriage, the Barpatra was given a gift of Tk 1 lakh.

Rezwana has been tortured since her marriage. On June 7, family members, including husbands, were beaten and tortured for dowry. Later on June 5, around 4 pm, the husband, father -in -law, mother -in -law, Nand and nuns joined and set fire to Rezwana's body.

He was first admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. Later, when the condition deteriorated, the Dhaka National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute were transferred. He died on Friday while undergoing treatment.

The deceased's father, Rezaul Karim, alleged that his daughter had been burnt to death for not giving dowry money. The father-in-law did not go to the fire and closed the door and informed that his daughter had committed suicide.

She has filed a case against her husband, father -in -law, mother -in -law, Nandan and nuns.

Rezwana has a child of a year and a half. Family members have demanded severe punishment for those involved in the killings.

Rangpur Metropolitan Police Officer -in -Charge Abdul Kuddus said the husband, Nand and Nadan's husband were arrested after the incident. Although it is too late to take the case, the investigation is now underway.
