Rangpur was shaken by the earthquake

Mild earthquake felt in Rangpur. The earthquake was felt at 8:28 pm on Friday. No damage was immediately reported in the earthquake.

India's National Seismological Center (NCS) said the earthquake originated at a depth of just 5 km, 62 km from Bhutan's capital, Thimpu.

It was initially reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 21 km from Samsi in Bhutan. The magnitude was 4.1 on the Richter scale.

Earlier on June 2, a magnitude 5 earthquake hit Myanmar, which was also felt in Rangamati district of Bangladesh. The origin of the earthquake is 442 km away from Dhaka. Earthquake was felt at 59 seconds.

Earlier on May 29 (Wednesday) earthquake was felt in different places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions including Dhaka. Its magnitude was 5.4 on the Richter scale. The distance from Agargaon Earthquake Research Center in Dhaka to the source was 439 km.

On April 28, an earthquake was felt in the Rajshahi region of Bangladesh and West Bengal in India. The earthquake occurred at 8:50 p.m. The earthquake originated in Uttampur, West Bengal, India. Its magnitude was 4.4 decimal. As it was a mild earthquake, no damage was reported at that time.

On April 20, a mild earthquake was felt in Chittagong. A moderate earthquake of magnitude 3.7 struck 43 km from the port city. The location of the mild earthquake was 34 km from the Indian border and 66 km from Myanmar. Its depth at the epicenter was 10 km.

Chuadanga was shaken by a mild earthquake last February 14 at 8:07 PM. The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.6 on the Richter scale. Its origin is Atgharia of Pabna district. No damage was reported in the earthquake.
