Resignation of 67 people including VC, Registrar of Khulna University

Khulna University VC Mahmud Hossain has resigned.

He sent his resignation today Tuesday afternoon.

Apart from this, in the last few days, 67 other officials of the university, including a pro-VC, registrar, have resigned.

University VC cites 'personal reasons' in resignation letter.

Notable others who resigned along with the VC are Pro-VC Mosammat Hosne Ara, Treasurer Amit Roy Chowdhury, Acting Registrar of the University Khan Golam Quddus, Principals of five halls of the University, two members of the Syndicate, Director of Physical Education Department, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). and two additional directors, directors of the university's infrastructure development projects.

Earlier on August 11, Khulna University Student Affairs Director Professor Md. Sharif Hasan Limon and eight assistant directors of student affairs resigned together. They submitted their resignations at the university registrar's office on August 11 at noon.

Khan Gholam Quddus, outgoing acting registrar of the university said, 'VC, pro-VC including treasurer, provost and project director of all halls including registrar, that means all of us administrative positions have resigned. Almost everyone has given personal reasons as the reason.'

Mahmud Hossain joined Khulna University as VC on May 25, 2021. Apart from this, Mosammat Hosne Ara joined as Pro-VC on 11 October 2020. Amit Roy Chowdhury joined on 16 August 2022 as Treasurer.
