Resignation of Vice-Chancellor in Nobiprabi campus

Finally, in the face of the students' movement, Noakhali Science and Technology University (Nobiprobi) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Baki has resigned. He submitted his resignation to the President on Wednesday (August 21).

In his resignation letter, he said that on August 25, 2021, the vice-chancellor of the university was appointed with the approval of the president and the chancellor. After joining this post, I have tried to perform my duties with utmost devotion and honesty. In view of the current environment and circumstances, I request to cancel my appointment as Vice-Chancellor.

Earlier, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Didar Ul Alam submitted his resignation on Tuesday (August 20) in the face of students' demands. In the resignation letter, the vice-chancellor cited personal and family reasons.

It is to be noted that since August 7, the students started a movement demanding the resignation of the top administration officials including the Vice-Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Treasurer. Already, 11 people from Nobiprobi administration have resigned in the face of students' demands.
