A mother of two children is on a hunger strike demanding marriage at the house of her boyfriend who is studying in Bhola Charfashion.
From Monday (May 6), he is staying at the house of young Jewel of Ward No. 8 of Jahanpur Union of Upazila. Since this incident, the accused lover has covered his body.
The accused lover Jewel is the son of Kashem Mia of that ward and is studying in the second year of Dhaka Government Titumir College Ornas.
The victim housewife said that she was having an affair with Jewel for almost three years. After that, with the promise of marriage, Jewel used to come and go to the housewife's house for sexual relations.
Last Sunday (May 5), the housewife's husband returned home late at night after fishing in the river and found her in an intimate relationship with the accused Jewel. After that Jewel ran away from that house. Later, the housewife's husband threw her out of the house and she was staying at her boyfriend Jewel's house. But Jewel moved elsewhere.
The housewife also said, if Jewel does not marry me, there is no other option but death.
In this regard, Kashem Mia, the father of accused Jewel said, I have no son. I gave it to Jewel silently. Let him do whatever he wants. However, since the accused Jewel is absconding, his statement was not available.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shasibhushan Police Station. Enamul Haque said, I have not received any complaint about the hunger strike, if any complaint is received, legal action will be taken subject to investigation.
