Former marketing and sales director as the new MD and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Md. Safiqur Rahman has been appointed. He was appointed as per the decision of the board of directors of the organization on Wednesday (August 4).
After the collapse of the Awami League government on August 5 and the formation of the interim government, the former chairman of the organization, Abdul Mueed Chowdhury, was made the chairman of Biman on August 19. In the meantime, the new board of directors of Biman was formed on August 27. It was this council that appointed Safiqur as MD and CEO.
Safiqur started his career as a Trainee Commercial Officer in Biman in 1986. Later retired in 2017 as Marketing & Sales Director.
