A young man named Saiful Islam Sagar died after drowning in flood rescue work in Feni. This incident happened on Thursday (August 22) night. On Friday (August 23) at noon, the member of Ward No. 2 of Karpara Union of Ramganj Upazila. Yunus confirmed this.
The deceased is the son of Shahid Ullah of Alim Uddin Bepari Bari No. 2 Shyampur area of Karpara Union of Sagar Upazila. However, it is said that his body has not yet reached his native Lakshmipur.
UP member Yunus said that Sagar used to work as a construction worker in addition to working in a factory in Chittagong. Recently, he came to Feni to work with a volunteer group as the flood situation worsened. Later Sagar died by drowning in the water because he did not want to swim.
According to family sources, Sagar came to Feni from Chittagong. Later he died while trying to rescue. Currently Sagar's body is in Feni. Sources of the deceased Sagar's family also said that it will take some time to bring the body as the roads are submerged in water.
