Salman-Anisul and Ziaul remanded for 10 days

The court granted 5 days and 10 days remand to former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's private industry and investment advisor Salman F Rahman, former law minister Anisul Haque and army officer Ziaul Ahsan in separate cases of student murder in the quota reform movement.

According to court sources, the court granted remand for 5 days in the case of murder of Ideal College student Khaled Saifullah filed at Lalbagh Police Station and 5 days in the case of murder of Dhaka College student Sabul Ali at New Market Police Station.

According to the complaint of the case, Khalid Hasan Saifullah, a first year student of Ideal College, was shot dead on July 18 in Lalbagh's Azimpur government residential area during the anti-discrimination student movement. In this incident, his father Kamrul Hasan filed a murder case at Lalbagh police station on August 19.

Apart from this, Sabul Ali was killed in front of Dhaka College on Tuesday in the clash between BCL and students agitating for quota reform. He was a student of Statistics Department of Dhaka College in 18-19 session.

Later, on August 13, the police arrested Salman F Rahman and former law minister Anisul Haque from the capital's Sadarghat area while fleeing by water. The next day, the court granted them a 10-day remand in the murder case of Newmarket police station. And Ziaul Ahsan was arrested late at night on August 15 from Khilkhet area of ​​Dhaka. The next day, the court granted his 8-day remand.
