Samajir announced his resignation from the post of PP a day after his appointment

Ehsanul Haque Samazi resigned citing personal reasons a day after being appointed as Public Prosecutor (PP) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court.

Confirming the matter, this lawyer said that he has sent his resignation letter to the Solicitor Division (GP-PP Branch) of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

Samajhi mentioned in his resignation letter that he has been associated with the legal profession for the last 38 years with integrity and discipline. But due to personal and family reasons, he is not able to join Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court as PP.

In his resignation letter, Samazi said, 'I am very grateful to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs for appointing me as the PP of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court.'

The resignation letter further stated, I am in support of the state reform work and will provide full cooperation in future legal services as per the requirements of the administration.

On August 27, the government appointed him as the PP of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court. A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Wednesday. Through this he replaced the previous PP Abdullah Abu.

But pro-BNP lawyers held a rally protesting the appointment of Samji as a pro-Awami League lawyer.
