Abul Khair said that due to ongoing heat wave in the country, all the districts of Khulna and Rajshahi Division, Dhaka Division, Tangail, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Gazipur and Manikganj Districts, Kurigram and Dinajpur District of Rangpur Division and all secondary schools and colleges of Patuakhali District of Barisal Division in consultation with the Directorate of Meteorology. , the Ministry of Education has decided that madrasas and technical educational institutions will be closed tomorrow on April 30.
Meanwhile, amid the ongoing heatwave, the High Court has ordered the closure of school-madrasa classes at the primary and secondary levels till May 2. However, the order said that this order will not be applicable for schools where AC is in place or where examinations are ongoing and for O level, A level examinations and colleges-universities.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has announced the closure of primary schools till Thursday in accordance with the instructions of the High Court. However, at the secondary, technical, madrasa and college levels, closure was announced only on Tuesday.
