School student missing from Sanko in Kalkini

Kalkini Fire Service conducted a rescue operation in the canal to rescue the missing school student

A schoolboy named Md Yasin (8) has gone missing after falling into the water while crossing Sanko on his way to school at Kalkini in Madaripur. The accident took place on Tuesday (August 20) morning. Fire service members have started an operation to rescue him.

The missing Yasin is the son of Sohag Bepari of Char village of Kalai Sardar in East Enayetnagar Union of Upazila. He belongs to Char Government Primary School, Kalai Sardar
He was a third grade student.

According to the fire service, this morning Yasin went to school from home after having breakfast. Kalai Sardar's leg slipped and fell into the water while crossing a bridge built over the Char Canal. Later local people searched for him unsuccessfully. On receiving the information, members of the Kalkini Fire Service Office came and started searching for Yasin in the canal. However, he was not found.

Kalkini Fire Service officer Md. Khokon said, 'We have kept the rescue operation informed. We are doing our best to rescue him.'

Upazila executive officer Uttam Kumar Dash said, 'We have come to know about the matter. The incident is sad.'
