Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the swearing-in ceremony of the new government of India. Sheikh Hasina accepted his invitation.
Narendra Modi invited Sheikh Hasina during a telephone conversation on Wednesday (June 5) night. Later, the Deputy Press Secretary of the Prime Minister. Nur Elahi Mina briefed the journalists.
Md. Nur Elahi Meena said that the people of Bangladesh, the government, the Prime Minister's personal and family have congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for winning the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by BJP for the third time in a row.
Appreciating Narendra Modi's leadership in NDA's victory for the third time in a row, Sheikh Hasina said it was possible due to his (Narendra Modi's) strong leadership.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mentioned the good neighborly relations between Bangladesh and India.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed hope that through the victory of the National Democratic Alliance led by Narendra Modi, India and the people of India will go further, will go further in the world meeting.
Meanwhile, Modi and his cabinet members submitted their resignations after meeting President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi on Wednesday. The President has asked Modi to accept the resignation and hold office till the swearing-in.
