The south-eastern districts of the country have been flooded due to heavy rains and landslides coming down from India. Siam and his wife Shamma Rushafi Avanti made the announcement in a video message on Friday (August 23) afternoon saying that they would stand by the flood victims.

Meanwhile Siam said, yesterday a small child is donating 14 thousand 500 taka for the flood victims. This is the beauty of our Bangladesh. Everything is possible if we can take action from our own place. From that point I decided I was going to donate my income this month and last month. I paid some money. I want to pay the rest now.

He also said that donation should not be said like this but I think it is necessary to say it at this time. Because it will encourage many people.

Meanwhile, according to the information of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, at least 17 lakh 96 thousand 248 people have been affected by floods in 6 districts of the country so far. One person died after drowning in Feni. The meteorological agencies also said that moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in the northeast and adjacent uplands of the country in the next 48 hours. The water in the main rivers in the northeastern and eastern parts of the country is rising. Since Tuesday, a total of 1 lakh 89 thousand 663 families in 6 districts have been deprived of water.
