'Some people are conspiring to destroy the victory of the students'

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that some people are conspiring to destroy the victory achieved in the popular uprising of the students.

He made these comments after paying homage at the shrine of Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, Sherebangla Nagar on Monday (August 19). A tribute was paid on the occasion of the 44th founding anniversary of BNP's organizational volunteer group.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “Today we have taken an oath to consolidate the victory achieved in the popular uprising of the students.” A number of persons are conspiring to destroy this victory of the students. They are trying to unfairly impose on our leaders and activists by creating various disturbances.

He also said, I want to make it clear that none of our party's leaders and workers are involved in these activities. We are trying to stop the disturbance that has been caused.

BNP Secretary General said, we want a new and democratic Bangladesh. We want to build a new Bangladesh with equality and human rights.

Mirza Fakhrul mentioned that many leaders and activists have been imprisoned while doing the democratic movement and said that our leader Khaleda Zia has been freed, and some leaders and activists have been freed. Now many are in jail, we are trying to free them.
