The Republic of Korea has announced to give 10 million US dollars this year as humanitarian aid to the Rohingya refugees who have taken refuge in Bangladesh.
On Tuesday (August 20), the Korean Embassy in Dhaka said that this humanitarian aid will be given to Bangladesh through the international organizations UNHCR, IOM, WFP and UNFPA this year.
Since 2017, the Republic of Korea has continued to cooperate with the Bangladesh government and international organizations for the Rohingya. Accordingly, it continues to pay 3 to 5 million US dollars annually. This year's funding is three times more than the previous year's funding. It is the largest humanitarian aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
