Students clash with Ansar in front of Secretariat

Students clashed with Ansar in front of the secretariat. Ansar members and students were seen pelting bricks.

This incident happened during the protest of Ansar members in front of the secretariat on Sunday evening. Many others were injured in this incident.

Before this, Ansar members have been protesting for the last two days demanding the nationalization of jobs. Allegedly, they have been discriminated against for a long time. Jobs were not nationalized despite their assurances.

According to the demands of various organizations, the members of Ansar, who are working on a daily contract of Tk 540, want their jobs to be made permanent. They have been protesting on this demand for the last few days. No one could get out or enter the secretariat due to their cordon.

At around 3 pm some officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs spoke to them and went to the Home Adviser's office with a delegation of seven members. When Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury announced to accept the demands of affiliated Ansar members, they announced suspension of the program.

After the fall of the Awami League government, the underprivileged from various sectors including the officials and employees of the secretariat have been protesting in front of the secretariat. Because of this, the officials and employees of the secretariat had to be blocked at various times.
