Nazrul Majid Mahmud Swapan has been unofficially declared the winner of the second phase of the upazila elections in Manohardi. His closest rival was the upazila Awami League president Ed. Fazlul Haque.
District Awami League joint general secretary Nazrul Majid Mahmud was unofficially elected as the chairman by getting 33,8,69 votes in the Manohardi Upazila Parishad election held on Tuesday (21 May) with the participation of 24.69 percent voters.
His closest rival was Manohardi Upazila Awami League President Ed. Muha Fazlul Haque. Tauhid Sarkar and Shahnaz Parveen Shilpi were elected vice chairman and female vice chairman respectively in this election.
