The highest temperature in the country was recorded at Rangamati on Thursday (April 11), at 40 degrees Celsius. Rangamati recorded the highest temperature in the country on Wednesday too, at 39 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the capital on Thursday was 36 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, the temperature was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the next 24-hour forecast of the Meteorological Department, mild to moderate heat wave has passed over Barisal division including Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Moulvibazar, Chittagong, Rangamati, Feni, Bandarban. It may spread further.
If the temperature is between 36 and 37.9 degrees Celsius, it is called a mild heat wave. If it is 38 to 39.9 it is moderate heat wave. And the temperature of 40 to 41.9 degrees Celsius is called severe heat wave.
Meteorologist of the Department of Meteorology. Tariful Newaz Kabir said that the temperature will continue to rise from Friday. There is less chance of heat reduction now. And after 14th the temperature may increase a little more.
