A beautiful girl from Dhaka has appeared at the house of the Chhatra League leader demanding marriage in Sonagazi, Feni. The incident took place at noon on Sunday (April 28) at the house of Charchandia Union Chhatra League president Iqbal Hasan Vijay.
It is known that on Sunday afternoon, the beautiful young woman with another girl came from Dhaka to Char Chandia Union Parishad of Sonagazi Upazila of Feni and sought the cooperation of chairman Mosharraf Hossain Milon. At that time, the young woman claimed that she was pregnant and said that she was going to marry Chhatra League leader Vijay. Later, according to his word, the UP Chairman along with four village policemen sent the young woman to the house of Babul Mia's son and Chhatra League leader Iqbal Hasan Bijay of Olama Bazar area of the union.
Village police member Jasim Uddin said, when we reached Vijay's house, he asked us to wait in front of the door and took the young woman and the accompanying girl home. When the incident came to light, reporters along with locals went to Vijay's house, after leaving the house, Vijay said that he would talk to reporters after finishing talking to them. But after an hour of waiting, I found out that Vijay had gone to an unknown place behind the house with them.
Char Chandia Union Parishad Chairman Mosharf Hossain Milan said that around noon, a young woman along with another girl came to the Union Parishad and told about their relationship with Chhatra League President Bijay. Then they ask for help to go to Vijay's house. Later I sent them home through village policemen. While the village policemen were staying outside, we learned that Vijay had fled with them to an unknown place. However, the last contact was made with the young woman around 10 pm. Then Vijay said that they were held hostage in Mohipal area of Feni town.
Meanwhile, in the evening Sonagazi Upazila Chhatra League has issued a show cause notice to Iqbal Hasan Vijay accusing him of immoral activities outside the organization. Upazila Chhatra League President Mahmudur Rahman Russell and General Secretary Minhaj Uddin Saimun signed the pad, asking him to respond to the complaint within three working days.
Minhaj Uddin, General Secretary of Upazila Chhatra League, said that he has been informed of the incident and has been given a show cause notice. If the complaint is found to be true, organizational action will be taken against him. However, despite repeated calls to the mobile number used by the accused Vijay, the number was found to be switched off.
Sonagazi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sudeep Roy said, 'I came to know about the incident through various channels. However, no one has filed any complaint at the police station yet. Legal action will be taken if complaints are received.'
