The chief adviser is going to Thailand on his first foreign visit

The chief adviser of the interim government. Muhammad Yunus is going to Thailand on his first foreign visit. He will go to Bangkok on September 3 to participate in the BIMSTEC Summit.

According to sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fayyaz Murshed Kazi, the recently appointed ambassador to Thailand, has been sent to Bangkok on an urgent basis in view of the chief adviser's visit.

BIMSTEC conference will be held from 2 to 4 September. The sixth summit of the seven-nation regional alliance BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Alliance for Multidimensional Technical and Economic Cooperation) will be attended by the top leaders of all the member countries of the alliance including India.

It is reported that the Chief Adviser will leave for Bangkok on September 3 and return home on September 5. He will address the summit on September 4.

There is a possibility of a courtesy meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the conference. Muhammad Yunus.

On August 5, Sheikh Hasina's government was overthrown in a mass uprising by students. Then on August 8, the Nobel laureate economist Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
