The demands made by 7 Islamic groups to the chief adviser


The chief adviser of the interim government. Seven Islamic parties proposed several reforms in the meeting with Muhammad Yunus. One of them is that no one should be prime minister more than twice.

Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Maulana Mamunul Haque told reporters after the meeting with the Chief Advisor in Yamuna on Saturday (August 31).

He said, we have proposed several reforms in the meeting with the chief advisor. I have demanded radical reform of the election system. Trust and faith in Allah should be restored in the constitution. There should be no anti-Islamic laws. No one should be prime minister more than twice.

Maulana Mamunul Haque said, I have demanded speedy trial of all murders without delay, if necessary, trial should be done through tribunal.

A demand has also been made to withdraw all cases against Hefazat activists within a month, he said.

He also said that we have responded to the chief advisor's call for cooperation in the coming days. I have demanded that elections should be held without undue delay by making necessary reforms. No specific time has been set in this regard.

Earlier, the meeting started at 3 pm on Saturday at Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna. Leaders of Khilafat Majlis, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, Hefazet Islami, Jamiat Ulama Islami, Khilafat Movement and Nezami Islam participated.

The Chief Adviser is scheduled to speak separately to several parties and alliances till 8 pm.
