The price of gold increased during the flood

There are floods in different districts of the country. So far 29 lakh 4 thousand 964 people have been affected in 8 districts. In such a situation, the demand for gold has increased. Due to which Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold in the market of the country within a day.

The new price has been increased to a maximum of Tk 1,505. As a result of price increase, the price of good quality i.e. 22 carat gold will be 1 lakh 26 thousand 6 taka. This price of gold is the highest in the history of the country.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (August 22).

According to Bajus, the price of acid gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation.

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 26 thousand 6, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 20 thousand 279, 18 carat is Tk 1 lakh 3 thousand 98 and traditional method Each load of gold will be sold at 85 thousand 241 taka.

1 lakh 24 thousand 502 taka, the price of 21 carat filled gold is 1 lakh 18 thousand 833 taka, 18 carat is 1 lakh 1 thousand 862 taka and traditional method will be sold at 84 thousand 214 taka.

Although the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.

On August 20, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold was Tk 1 lakh 22 thousand 985, 21 carat gold was Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 398, 18 carat was Tk 1 lakh 625 and traditional gold was Tk 83 per lot. Sold for 1099 rupees.
