The sale of sacrificial animals has started today in 20 markets of the capital

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, sale of sacrificial animals has officially started in 20 huts including two permanent huts in Dhaka North and South City Corporation.

The haats were seen full of sacrificial animals on Thursday (June 13) morning. Buyers are also gathering.

Those concerned said that today there are 9 huts in Dhaka North City area and 11 huts including Saruliya permanent animal hut in Dhaka South City area. However, due to the court's directives, the haat was not held in Aftabnagar this year.

Huts in Dhaka North City Corporation include: Permanent Huts at Gabtali, Vacant lot next to Sector 16 and 18 in Uttara Diabari, Vacant lot next to Dhaka Polytechnic Institute, Mastul Checkpost area, Vacant lot at Eastern Housing in Mirpur Section 6, Open lot near Sutivola Canal in Bhatara, 40 feet road side vacant lot in Mohammadpur Bachila, vacant lot from Bhatulia Saheb Ali Madrasa to Ranabola Sluicgate and vacant lot in Jamun area of ​​Dakshinkhan.

Huts in Dhaka South include: Permanent Huts at Saruliya, Vacant areas around Khilgaon Railgate Maitri Sangh Club, Open areas adjacent to Institute of Leather Technology College in Hazaribagh, Vacant areas around Postgola Crematorium Ghat, Vacant areas around Meradia Bazar in Banshree, Vacant areas adjacent to Little Friends Club Space, Vacant land around Bishwa Road near Kamalapur Stadium, Vacant land around Donia College, Open area near Dholaikhal Truck Terminal, Vacant land around Amulia Model Town, Vacant land around Rahmatganj Club in Lalbagh.

Arrangements have been made for ablution and namaz for Muslim buyers who come to the market. The tenants of the huts have been warned to maintain order in the huts. If a vendor sets up a stall on the street, the tenant's security deposit will be forfeited. Law and order forces will monitor round-the-clock for the overall safety of buyers and sellers.

A monitoring committee has been formed for the overall safety of the buyers and sellers of each hut. Each committee will have one magistrate. Apart from this, they will take immediate action if any irregularity is observed beyond the guidelines set by DSCC. Besides the central control room, there will be one control room in each hut. On the other hand, under the supervision of Bangladesh Bank, buyers and sellers can transact money through instant banking without cash transactions. Sufficient bank booths have been arranged for this.
