The scotch-taped body of the Jubo League leader was lying on the floor


The police recovered the half-melted body of a Jubo League leader named Ahsan Ullah (35) from his house in Chandpur's Kachua. The body was recovered from Majid Mukta's house in Changpur village of Bitara union of the upazila on Friday (September 6) afternoon.

The deceased Ahsan is the son of deceased Abdul Matin. He was a member of the Union Jubo League. Eyewitnesses said that after seeing blood under the door of Ahsan's residence, the neighbors informed the people of the house and the Kachua police station. After receiving the news, Kachua police broke the door and recovered Ahsan's half-melted body lying on the floor of the residence with his head and face tied and scotch tape wrapped around his body.

Masud Bhuiyan, the cousin of the deceased, who lives in the neighboring house, said that Ahsan used to live alone after the divorce with his wife. He was last spoken to on the phone on September 2. People informed the police after seeing the rotten smell from his house and blood under the door. The police recovered the body and brought it to the police station.

Ahsan Ullah's elder brother Md. Humayun said, I demand that those who killed my younger brother be brought under the law quickly and get a fair trial.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kachua Police Station. Mizanur Rahman said that the half-melted body was recovered from the scene and a condition report was prepared and sent to Chandpur Sadar General Hospital morgue for post-mortem. The exact cause of his death will be known after the post-mortem report. Legal action in this regard is under process.
