The status of the repentant before Allah

Allah Ta'ala has created mankind with instincts of good and evil. He gave them freedom of good and evil. As a result, they can do good deeds if they want, and they can also do bad deeds if they want. If He had created only with good instincts, then it would not have been possible to distinguish between those who are righteous and those who are not.
