The wife went to fetch water after breakfast and found her husband's dead body

The wife went to the neighboring house to fetch water after giving the old husband murri for breakfast. When the wife returned with water, she found her husband's body hanging from the mango tree near the house. The issue has created a sensation in the area.

The incident took place in Nayan Madbarkandi village of Char Union of Moktar of Naria Upazila of Shariatpur on Friday (May 10) morning. The deceased was Mujibur Rahman Madbar (65), a resident of Nayan Madbarkandi village.

According to police and local sources, the couple Mujibur Madbar and Amirjan have not been staying at home for a long time due to a dispute over land. They returned home a few days ago. On Friday morning, wife Amirjan found that there was no water in the house after giving Mujibur Madbar breakfast. At that time he went to the house next door to fetch water. Swami returned with water and found the body of Mujibur Madbar hanging from a mango tree in the corner of the house. He then called the rest of the house. When the locals reported the matter to the police, the police came and recovered the body and sent it to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Amirjan, the wife of deceased Mujibur Madbar, said, “I gave him mudri and went to the neighboring house to fetch water.” I came and saw his dead body hanging from the mango tree. After that, when I called others in the house, Suman Madbar and others tied me to a mahogany tree. Then the police came.

Denying the allegations, Suman Madbar said that last night Mujibur Madbar had a fight with his wife Amirjan and girls. Amirjan Begum was normal after such an incident happened in the morning. After the incident, others including his grandson fled. When Amirjan wants to leave, I ask him where are you going? Then when he wanted to leave, I held him by the hand. I did not tie him.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naria Police Station Mostafizur Rahman said, I went to the spot with the force after receiving the news. I recovered the dead body of old Mujibur Madbar from the mango tree with a rope around the neck and sent it to the hospital for autopsy. Initially, no injury marks were found on the body. If a complaint is filed in this incident, legal action will be taken subject to investigation. a
