A young man died while walking in Hakaluki Haor of Juri Upazila of Moulvibazar. This incident happened on Friday (August 30) afternoon.
The deceased young man is Riazul Islam (19), son of Ismail Ali of Bachirpur village of Paschim Juri Union of the upazila.
It is known that Riazul Islam went for a walk with his friends in the afternoon at the environment tower of Hakaluki Haor. At one point during his time there, he jumped off the tower for a swim. As he did not float after jumping, his companions went down into the water and recovered his body from the deep.
Following the request of the family, arrangements have been made to bury the body without post-mortem.
