The situation could have been dire in the secretariat yesterday, but the students have dealt with it, said the interim government's legal advisor Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul Legal Adviser Asif Nazrul, Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud and Energy Adviser Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan went to Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital today Monday (August 24) to see Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, who were injured in the attack by Ansar members on the secretariat. They inquired about their treatment.
Later while talking to the journalists, Asif Nazrul said that they came in the guise of Ansar. They had no intention of demanding.
He also said that the students are awake. None of their plans will materialize.
A clash between students and Ansar members took place in front of the secretariat after 9:30 pm on Sunday. It is said that more than half a hundred people were injured in this night's violence.
