'They were in power with corrupt and country destroyers'

BNP Central Committee Vice-Chairman. Shah Jahan said, 'They were in power with corrupt people and destroyers of the country. Today they have no power. The students, masses, working people of the country threw them out of power through the movement. Arrogantly said, they do not run away. What is the reality now? Chhatre fled in fear of the crowd. The party whose leaders and members of parliament leave the country because of the fear of the people, that party has no chance to stand up in this country.'

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the rally organized on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Volunteer Party at the temporary office of Noakhali district BNP on Monday (August 19).

Regarding Sheikh Hasina. Shahjahan said, 'He who fled because of the fear of students, there is no possibility of him returning to his country. In fact, you have to come as a defendant.'

He said, 'Awami League has been defeated by the power of the students. This power can no longer stand up. Because they were in power by killing many students, emptying the arms of many mothers, widowing many sisters and showing physical force.'

Md. Shahjahan said to the party leaders and workers, 'Don't impose your personal problems, land problems on politics. Legal action will be taken if you have such problem. If someone creates chaos, the party will not take responsibility.'
