'This government should give whatever time it takes to reform the state'

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, President of Nagorika Oikya said, 'We are not crazy about power. I want to trust this government. As the blood stain has not yet dried, the vote is not immediate. This government should give as much time as it takes to reform the state. I urge other parties to have that mindset.'

Mahmudur Rahman Manna prayed for forgiveness of the soul of Abu Saeed, who was shot during the anti-discrimination student movement at the beginning of the discussion under the chairmanship of Rangpur District Committee of Nagorika Oikya.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, 'Abu Saeed is the symbol of the new history of Bangladesh. Abu Saeed's death by fearlessly getting shot by the police later inspired millions of students of Bengal to give their lives in the fight to overthrow the government. As a result we got new Bangladesh.'
