Those who won the upazila election in the third phase

Polling was held in 87 upazilas in the third phase of the sixth upazila parishad general election. Voting begins at 8 am on Wednesday and ends at 4 pm. During the polling, there were various irregularities including fake votes, expulsion of agents, but no major untoward incident was reported.

On this day, out of 87 upazilas, 16 voted in EVMs. In the rest, votes were taken in the ballot box. Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has given the impression that more or less 35 percent of votes have been cast in the third phase.

In this phase, polling was supposed to be held in 23 more upazilas, but the elections in these upazilas were postponed on May 26 and 27 due to Cyclone Rimal and lawsuits. Out of these upazilas, 20 upazilas will vote on June 9.

In the first phase of the Sixth Upazila Parishad elections, voting was held in 139 upazilas on May 8, where the voter turnout was around 36 percent. In the second phase, 156 upazilas voted about 38 percent on May 21.

In the third phase, those who became chairman in 87 upazilas:

Satkhira: Moshiur Rahman Babu, the candidate of the plow symbol, has been elected as the chairman in the district headquarters upazila parishad elections.

Aminul Islam Laltu (Horse symbol) has been re-elected as chairman in the Kalaroa Upazila Parishad elections.

Sheikh Imran Hossain was elected as vice chairman and Selina Anwar Maina as woman vice chairman.

clay: In the 6th Upazila Parishad election, polling was held in the third phase of Rangamati in two upazilas, Longadu and Naniarchar upazilas.

Amar Jeevan Chakma of the regional political party UPDF has won the post of chairman in Naniarchar upazila.

Sujit Talukder won the vice chairman post and Anita Chakma won the women vice chairman post.

Awami League's Babul Das Babu won the post of Chairman in Longadu Upazila with the pineapple symbol.

Md won the position of vice chairman. Raqib Hussain and Fatema Jinnah won the women's vice chairman.

Election Commission (EC) postponed the election in Baghaichhari upazila due to the impact of Cyclone Rimal, although the election was scheduled to be held in three upazilas of Rangamati in the third phase.

Lalmonirhat: Md. has been elected as the chairman privately with the pineapple symbol in the district headquarters upazila parishad election. Kamruzzaman Sujan.

Ershadul Karim Raju was elected Vice Chairman. And Latifa Begum Lucky was elected as the woman vice-chairman unopposed.

Cox's Bazar: Sirajul Islam Bhutto (Motorcycle) was elected Ramu Upazila Chairman of the district.

Ukhia Upazila Chairman Jahangir Kabir Chowdhury (Pineapple) won.

Zafar Ahmed (Pineapple) has been elected Teknaf Upazila Chairman.

Nilphamari: Zilla Sadar Upazila Awami League President and former Upazila Chairman Abuzar Rahman has been privately elected Chairman with pineapple symbol. Jyotirmoy Roy was elected as the Vice Chairman of Tia Pakhi Pratik. District Jubo Mahila League president and current vice chairman Santana Chakraborty has been re-elected as women vice chairman.

Bogra: District Jubo League President Shubashish Poddar Liton has won the Bogra Sadar Upazila Parishad election in the third phase. He was elected chairman by defeating the current upazila chairman and Sadar Thana Awami League president Abu Sufian Shafiq by a margin of about 11,500 votes.

According to the private results, out of the total 146 centers of Sadar Upazila, Subhashish Poddar Liton won by getting 35 thousand 771 votes in the pineapple symbol. His closest rival, the current upazila chairman Sadar Upazila Awami League president Abu Sufian Safiq got 24 thousand 185 votes in horse symbol.

Moulvibazar: Imtiaz Ahmed Bulbul (he is the younger brother of Agriculture Minister Dr. Md. Abdus Shaheed) was elected privately by getting 46 thousand 640 votes in the Kamalganj Upazila Parishad election of Moulvibazar. His closest rival is the brave freedom fighter Prof. Md. Rafiqur Rahman (Pineapple) got 30 thousand 712 votes.

Shariatpur: The results of the third phase of two upazila parishad elections in Shariatpur have been announced. Abdur Rashid Golandaj, Secretary of Relief and Social Welfare Affairs of the District Jubo League participated in the election for the first time in Damudya Upazila Parishad. On the other hand, Gosairhat Upazila Parishad was won by Awami League leader Prateeker Md. Musharraf Sardar.

According to Shariatpur district election office sources, the horse symbol candidate Abdur Rashid Golandaz won privately by getting 24 thousand 98 votes. His closest rival is the candidate for the motorcycle symbol. Alamgir got 13 thousand 715 votes. On the other hand, Gosairhat Upazila Parishad elected chairman Awami League leader Md. Mosharraf Hossain (helicopter) symbol, was elected by getting 20 thousand 183 votes. The nearest rival Zakir Hossain Dulal got 15 thousand 475 votes.

Faridpur: Voting was held in Bhanga and Sadarpur upazilas of Faridpur in the third phase of upazila parishad elections. Upazila Jubo League president Shahidul Islam has been privately elected to the post of chairman in Sadarpur upazila. He received 40 thousand 333 votes in the pineapple symbol. His closest competitor, the candidate of the motorcycle symbol, the current Upazila Parishad Chairman and former General Secretary of the Upazila Awami League Kazi Shafiqur Rahman got 35 thousand 508 votes.

On the other hand, Kawsar Bhuiya has been elected privately for the post of Bhanga Upazila Chairman. He got 62 thousand 870 votes in the doat pen symbol. His closest rival, Central Volunteer League's sub-community affairs secretary Mokhleshur Rahman got 50 thousand 830 votes in the horse symbol.

Brahmanbaria: In the third phase, polling was held in Bancharampur and Ashuganj upazilas of Brahmanbaria. Upazila Awami League president Sirajul Islam has been elected chairman for the third time in Bancharampur. He was privately elected chairman by getting 82 thousand 813 votes in horse symbol. His nearest rival Aminul Islam Tushar got 2 thousand 162 in pineapple symbol.

On the other hand, former member of Upazila Awami League has won the post of chairman in Ashuganj. Ziaul Karim Khan Saju. He got 31 thousand 248 votes in the motorcycle symbol. His closest rival is the current chairman. Hanif Munshi got 28 thousand 340 votes in horse symbol.

Returning Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasmine Sultana confirmed the matter. He said, this result has been published privately. No untoward incident happened in any upazila.

Reed: Polling was held in Mahalchhari upazila of Khagrachari in the third phase of upazila council elections. In Mahalchhari upazila, Bimal Kanti was elected privately by getting 10 thousand 136 votes on the Chakma cup Piritch symbol. He is the candidate of Chittagong Hill Tracts People's Solidarity Association (MN Lerma). His nearest rival Kanjari Chowdhury Anaras Preeti got 7 thousand 852 votes.

Returning officer Raju Ahmed announced the results of the privately elected people after the counting of votes.
