Truck-private car collision in Sirajganj: Four members of the same family were killed

Four members of the same family were killed in a collision between a truck and a private car in Sirajganj's Ullapara. The microbus driver was injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The accident took place in Hatikumrul roundabout area of ​​Dhaka-Rajshahi highway in the early hours of Monday (August 19).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Salanga Police Station. Enamul Haque confirmed the matter and said that a microbus heading from Dhaka to Rajshahi collided head-on with a truck going in the opposite direction in front of the Hatikumrul Fish Market on the Hatikumrul-Banpara highway. Meanwhile, the microbus overturned and four passengers in the microbus died. The driver of the microbus was seriously injured in the incident. Later Salanga police went to the spot and recovered the bodies of four people and rescued the injured driver and sent him to the hospital.

The OC also said that the bodies of the victims were recovered and brought to Salanga police station. However, their identity has not been confirmed so far. The driver fled with the truck immediately after the accident. Legal action is under process in this incident.

Meanwhile, the police could not confirm the names and identities of the victims, but sources said that four of the victims were from the same family. They are – Jasim Uddin Duba of Narsinghpur Dangapara of Bagmara Upazila of Rajshahi District, his wife and two sons.
