US President Donald Trump has again postponed plans to attack Iran's power grid. According to the new deadline, the possible deadline for this attack has been postponed by 10 days to April 6.

Trump confirmed this information in a post on his own social media, Truth Social.

He said that at the request of Iran, he postponed the deadline for the demolition of the power plant for 10 days. Trump claimed that 'talks are going very well,' although Iran has denied such talks.

The announcement comes as the US steps up pressure on Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. A large part of the world's oil supply is transported through this channel, which is now virtually defunct.

Earlier, Trump had warned that if the system is not opened within 48 hours, he will attack Iran's electricity grid. Later, he first extended the time for 5 days citing 'fruitful discussions', and this time it was extended for the second time.

However, this plan has created controversy in international circles. Human rights organization Amnesty International termed Trump's move as a 'war crime threat'.

According to legal experts, attacks targeting civilian infrastructure—especially power plants—can be considered war crimes under the Geneva Conventions if they are not directly linked to military necessity.

The current conflict began on February 28, when the United States and Israel jointly attacked Iran. Since then, tensions have risen steadily across the region.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump claimed Iran was “begging for a deal” to end the war, though Tehran denied that and warned in return that an attack on its energy infrastructure would escalate the attack across the region.
