Two Jubo League leaders were shot dead

Two Jubo League leaders were shot dead by miscreants in Chittagong. They are Mohammad Anis (38) and Masood Qaiser (32). The incident took place on Oxygen-Quaish road in Ananya residential area of ​​Bayezid Bostami police station at around 8 pm on Thursday (August 29).

Citing witnesses, the police said that Anis and Kaiser were walking on Oxygen-Quaish road around 7:30 pm. When they reached Nahar Community Centre, miscreants on motorcycles opened fire at them. Anis died on the spot. At that time, after being shot, Kaiser went to Suparipara area, where he was shot again and died. According to the police, this murder was due to previous enmity.

It is known that the house of Kaiser and Anis is in West Kuaish area of ​​Hathazari Upazila. Both of them were associated with Awami League politics and are known as followers of Yunus Gani Chowdhury, former chairman of Hathajari Upazila Parishad in local politics.

In this regard, Bayezid Bostami Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sanjay Sinha said that Anis died on the spot after being shot by miscreants in front of Nahar Garden and died after being taken to Kaiser Hospital. However, the details of the murder are not yet known.
