Two more cases against Sheikh Hasina


Two more cases have been filed in Dhaka court against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for allegedly killing two people in the capital's Mirpur during the quota reform movement.

Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court Magistrate Mehedi Hasan directed the officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur police station to record two separate charges of murder as statements.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court Bench Assistant Abu Abdullah confirmed this information.

Including these two, 17 cases have been filed against Sheikh Hasina so far. Among them 16 murder cases and one kidnapping case.

According to the case documents, the elder brother of the victim filed a case against 148 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on the charge of murdering Liton Hasan, a ninth-grade student, at Mirpur-10 roundabout on August 4. meeting

Plaintiff's lawyer Iltutmish Saudagar said that class nine student Liton Hasan participated in the quota reform movement at Mirpur Roundabout on August 4. At this time he was shot. He died the next day at Agargaon Neuroscience Hospital.

According to the case, on the orders of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and others, the accused opened fire on a peaceful procession demanding quota reform with illegal weapons.

Among the notable accused in the case are former IG of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former Member of Parliament Elias Uddin Molla, Kamal Ahmed Majumdar, former Commissioner of DMP Habibur Rahman and 148 others.

BNP leader's murder case

Afsana Akhter, the victim's wife, has filed another case accusing Sheikh Hasina and 67 people of murdering Abdullah Kabir, vice-president of BNP, Ward No. 11 of Mirpur.

According to the RG of the case, BNP leader Abdullah Kabir was assisting the students who participated in the quota reform movement at Mirpur-10 Roundabout on August 4 afternoon. On the orders of the main accused Sheikh Hasina, the police, Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League leaders-activists fired indiscriminately on the agitators. Abdullah Kabir, who was standing in front of Ideal School College near Roundabout No. 10, was shot in the chest. Immediately he fell to the ground. He was later rescued and taken to Kurmitola General Hospital where doctors on duty declared him brought dead.

Among the other accused in the case are Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former member of parliament Ilyas Uddin Molla, Kamal Ahmed Majumdar, former commissioner of DMP Habibur Rahman etc.
