Two people died due to electrocution in Chapainawabganj, including a child

Two people, including a child, died due to electrocution in Barogharia and Devinagar of Chapainawabganj. Two people died in separate incidents on Friday afternoon.

They are Mahi (7), son of Bulbul of Tola village of Rahman in Devinagar union of Sadar upazila and Rahim (60), a resident of Chamagram in Barogharia union.

It is known that the child Mahi was electrocuted while playing in a charging auto-rickshaw at home around 2 pm. He was taken to Sadar Hospital and declared dead by the doctor on duty.

Earlier, Abdur Rahim, an old man, was electrocuted by an electric wire in Chamagram area of ​​Barogharia Union at around 12 noon. The family members rescued him and took him to Sadar Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Dr. Chapainawabganj District Sadar Hospital Emergency Department Medical Officer. Abdur Rahman said, according to family sources, the child Mahi was playing sports. He was suddenly electrocuted when he approached a charging auto-rickshaw. On the other hand, old man Abdur Rahim was electrocuted in his house. They died before being brought to the hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station, Mintu Rahman, said that a child and an old man died in two separate incidents. They have been handed over to their families after taking necessary legal action.
