Two people died in the truck

Two people were killed in separate road accidents at Sherpur in Bogra. The accident took place on the Dhaka-Bogra-Rangpur highway of the upazila on Friday (June 14) night and Saturday (June 15) afternoon.
The deceased are Sabbir Hossain (27) son of Shajahan Ali of Rameshwarpur village of Sherpur upazila and Abdul Alim (45) son of Muktar Khan of Sirajganj Sadar upazila.
According to police sources, Alim left on Saturday morning to go to Sherpur bus stand on a motorcycle. When Ghoga reached Battala area around 12 noon, a speeding truck hit him from behind. Alim died on the spot.
Besides, on Friday night, Sabbir was returning home on a motorcycle after doing Eid shopping for his two-year-old daughter. At that time, when he reached Banani area of Dhaka-Bogra highway, he fell off his motorcycle and was hit by a truck and died.
Confirming the matter, Sherpur Highway Police Camp in-charge Syed Abul Hashem said that the truck was seized by the police in the afternoon incident. Two bodies have been handed over to the families after the legal process.
