US Embassy delegation meeting with IGP

The six-member delegation led by Daniel Blickmore, Regional Security Officer of the US Embassy in Dhaka, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Courtesy meeting with Moinul Islam.

The courtesy meeting was held at the police headquarters on Thursday (August 29) afternoon. Senior police officers were present at that time.

Other members of the delegation are Senior FSN Investigator Nabeel Mahmood, Assistant Legal Attache, FBI/Liguet Robert Cameron, Security Investigator Md. Aminul Islam, Law Enforcement Assistant Attaché, ICITAP Michael Hintz and Department of Justice, ICITAP Program Management Specialist Taniq Munir.

The media and public relations department of the police headquarters said in a press release that the IGP thanked the US government for supporting various trainings for the policemen. During the meeting, up-to-date training and logistics cooperation at home and abroad were discussed to control rising crime, cybercrime, money laundering, transnational crime, human trafficking, human rights, crisis management and public order.

The IGP expects that the United States will continue to cooperate in the training of Bangladesh police. He said that the delegation will give full support to the training of Bangladesh Police.
