Human rights activist Noor Khan Liton said, “It is not only a violation of human rights but I don't know how to describe it. The court is supposed to be a free space for people. When law enforcement forces present them in court, the incidents we see – killing, punching, shoeing followed by physical torture like what we saw with Justice Manik, Dipu Moni and then Joy, these incidents are not justifiable at all.” He said that we should be more careful so that these incidents do not happen again.

He also said, “It should be remembered that for a long time we were oppressed, we were facing torture. We couldn't talk. When we have got a life-saving condition today through the blood of the students, that place should not be allowed to be destroyed in any way. Inking should not be allowed.”

Nurjahan Begum has been named as the plaintiff in the case. Regarding the application of this case, Manik Mia's family informed that they want to withdraw the names of hundreds of accused. They spoke to the student coordinators of Rangpur about the matter.

Manik Mia's mother Nurjahan Begum said that the signature of the case application has been taken from her.

“I have not mentioned the name of a single accused. I have not named a single person. I can't say what these lawyers are doing, father. Even though I did not want to sign, they took my signature. My son-in-law's name is given, my brother's name is given, my son-in-law's name is given.”

Lawyer Alauddin filed the case in court. He said that the lawyer of the plaintiff's case is changing.

Regarding the case, the legal advisor said some cases are embarrassing for them too.

“There can be many complaints against Shakib, people can have many sorrows about his various behavior but it is very difficult to accept the murder case. Now if someone files a case personally, you cannot legally prevent this under the laws of Bangladesh.”

Although there is an opportunity to exclude the accused after checking the cases, it is not possible due to the pressure, the legal advisor admitted.

“The local mob created so much pressure. Come to the police and say that this is how the case should be filed. This must be given. De fil insecure. And if you don't agree, you were the magistrate of the fascist government, the police of the fascist government. How are we going to stop the frenzied mobs in this place?”

Regarding trying to find a solution, the adviser said, “We are still trying to talk to the political parties to see if we can control it a little bit through them.” You don't think we like these situations. We don't like. We will try to resolve these two problems as much as we can.”
