The woman behind an angry rant on a commercial flight that went viral has backed controversial footballer, Harrison Butker.
Tiffany Gomas was filmed screaming during an outburst on an American Airlines flight in July and used her infamy to become a right-wing influencer.
Gomas’ rant went viral because she was screaming “that m*********** back there is not real” and wanted to get off the flight. While she apologized afterwards for her behavior, she never explained what caused her outburst and has become known as the person in the “not real” meme.
She recently took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise Butker, who went viral recently himself, it a post that has been viewed more than 600,000 times.

The Kansas City Chiefs player gave a controversial commencement speech to graduating students at Benedictine College in Kansas. In the speech he slammed LGBTQ+ communities by referring to them as “dangerous gender ideologies” and then told female students a woman’s “most important title” should be “homemaker.”
Gomas defended Butker in her post, saying he should be able to continue playing NFL despite his beliefs.
“I love seeing all of these women stand with Harrison Butker. He has the right to hold his own views and not lose his career over it. Women can be a great mom and wife, or have a successful career, or do both,” she posted.

People in the replies were divided by her take on the matter.
“Helloooooo! We can do whatever we want. That’s the point!” wrote @ReallyRowdyRed in agreement with Gomas.
Another woman, @MailePRMedia, replied, “Why? I hate that we idolize athletes. Just because they can kick a ball real good doesn’t mean they are a good person. And their kicking skills shouldn’t elevate them in a scholarly setting to a thought leader without earning it.”
But @thatsloudacris asked, “When exactly did he say it was OK for a woman to have a successful career?”
And @BlaineDetails added, “The hypocrisy is laughable when Colin Kaepernick got crucified for his beliefs,” referring to the NFL quarterback who was criticized for taking the knee during the national anthem to protest racial injustice.
Elsewhere in his speech Butker quoted lyrics by singer Taylor Swift, whom he referred to as his “teammate’s girlfriend” (Swift is dating Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce), right before telling the female students they had been fed lies.
“For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you,” Butker said.
“Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”
