Want revolutionaries in advisory council excluding controversial ones: Hafiz

BNP Standing Committee member Hafiz Uddin Ahmed wants an interim government with the revolutionaries excluded.

He said this to reporters after placing floral wreaths at the grave of late President Ziaur Rahman in Bangla Nagar on Sunday.

Hafiz Uddin said, we will give assistance to this interim government to fulfill the goals of the August Revolution. But they have to understand the essence of the revolution. Run the government with those who participated in the revolution.

'Soon remove controversial individuals and recruit more students to the advisory council if necessary. Take those who participated in the revolution. We don't need intellectuals who look on, keep quiet in times of trouble and stand in front of the camera after victory. So I want this situation to end. We wish that this government is formed with real revolutionaries.

Hafiz Uddin said, 20 days have passed so far, it does not seem that the revolutionaries' government has been established. I have not seen anyone directly participating in this revolution except Asif Nazrul. I would like to say to the government, this is not an NGO government, it is the government of the people of Bangladesh. Those who have tortured the people of Bangladesh for 16 years must be brought under punishment.

Demanding the release of the list of those who took refuge in the cantonment, Hafiz said, “We have noticed that a few days after the revolution, an attempt was made to carry out a super-revolution, which was supported by some judges and terrorist groups supported by some neighboring states in Gopalganj. How do they show this courage? They have burnt the army vehicles, attempted to kill the army, we want to see their exemplary punishment, we want to see the successful outcome of this revolution.
