Farooq-e-Azam Bir Prateek, adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, said the water has started receding. Hope people can go back home soon. I am talking about the Khalbil occupation incident. We will be happy if the encroachers remove it themselves.

He said these things to reporters at the relief monitoring office (temporary) under the supervision of the army at Lakshmipur city police outpost on Friday (August 30) evening when he came to visit the flood-affected areas.

Earlier, Lieutenant Colonel Majeduk Haque Reza, the officer in charge of the army in Lakshmipur district, highlighted the overall situation of the flood in front of the relief adviser, including the management of the relief distribution program.
